Raising funds for Giving Week, our year 7s performed The 39 Steps: Even More Abridged for audiences of staff, parents and students. You can read what our audience members thought on our Instagram. From the year 7 cast member Bella's perspective, our production was an unforgettable experience. She said: ‘I enjoyed playing multiple roles, from detectives to Highland dancers, and the quick costume changes helped me bring my characters to life. The whole cast embraced the play’s over-the-top humour, with Anais’s melodramatic on-stage death being particularly unforgettable! It was really fun working together and the cast made so many fun memories together.’ From year 7 audience member Rosa's perspective, the production was an ‘energetic and imaginative spectacle. A standout moment saw the three students sharing the role of Richard Hannay joining forces with the ensemble to defeat the villainous Professor in an excellently choreographed comic finale with flashing lights and funny freezes.’ Year 8 audience member Rosa added: ‘It was lively, exciting and creative. A memorable scene was when they used amazing teamwork to create an action-packed and intricate train scene. Every scene offered laughter driven by sharp and witty comedy. Congratulations to everyone who got involved.’
