Giving Week

Headmistress, Jenny Brown, with music students

Our annual Giving Week was, once again, packed with community spirit, and we are incredibly grateful to the staff, students, alumnae and parents who threw themselves into activities from start to finish.

On our ‘nowhere to wear this’ dress-up day, students and staff embraced eclectic outfits. Inflatable sharks roamed our corridors, and outfits ranged from pyjamas to full-on glam (as well as everything in between). Our music-a-thon also struck all the right notes, with students performing under the baton of Headmistress Jenny Brown.

The whole community also pulled together for the rowing challenge, where year groups competed to see who could row the equivalent of the Roman walls of London the most times. Visit our Instagram to find out who this year’s winners were. Meanwhile, the sponsored walk/run pushed both stamina and fundraising efforts, and our evening lessons gave parents a front-row seat to life at City, from a ‘Let Them Eat Cake?’ history lesson to inspiring talks on Shakespeare, genetics and even the meaning of life.

And the best part? Together, we raised an incredible £290,000 for the bursary fund in just five days. Giving Week may be over, but its impact is only just beginning. Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, or cheered us on - you’ve made a lasting difference.
