Support us

We are committed to increasing transformational bursaries at City. Every pound given to our bursary fund helps ensure any talented student, regardless of family background or financial circumstance, can grow and thrive and pioneer with us. In coming together as a community, we aim to increase our offer next year as we move closer to our goal of needs-blind admission. Can you come on this journey with us?

Bursaries are integral to the City experience and have been since our foundation. They underpin our entire community, serving as a vital aspect of our history and a cornerstone of our future. The bursary programme plays a fundamental role in shaping the inclusive atmosphere within our school and we are working hard to expand our offer on our journey to needs-blind admission.

Fuel their Passions

Participating fully in everything City has to offer is critical for all students. As we aim to offer eligible pupils 110% bursaries from autumn 2025, each gift to this campaign will give every student at City the opportunity to challenge herself outside the classroom, pursue creativity and go beyond the Barbican to find her passion.

The City experience ranges far beyond the classroom, and we are always keen to develop these passions, from debating to running, fencing to French, drama to cello. Highlighted below are some activities which incur additional costs; these extend across the school, touching every student’s journey. Any gift in support of this campaign will help us ensure every student can participate and find her passion at City!

Legacies

There has long been a culture of giving at City of London School for Girls; indeed it has been central to its ethos from its inception. The school was founded by a generous bequest from William Ward with the aim of transforming the lives of young women through an empowering education.
