The element of competition at in-person sporting events can be an impetus to achieve your best time so running alone added difficulty. However, a number of our runners competed and harnessed the mental strength to push themselves. Our year 12 and 13 senior girls team even placed second in London for the most people participating! Other impressive results include Imogen coming 3rd in the senior race, our inter girls squad coming 3rd as the best placed school with top scores, and year 7s Lyra and Matilda placing 12th overall in the Junior A and B races. World Book Day: Are You Sitting Comfortably?
In a change to our usual World Book Day celebrations, this week we were treated to some relaxing read aloud sessions from teachers, the Head Girl, and support staff.

Pastoral day
All pupils were off-timetable this Wednesday to unwind and recharge with a Pastoral Day. After registration, all pupils explored the idea of their "inner voice - champion or gremlin?" in a coaching activity led by Head of Coaching, Mr Murray. Following this, students reflected on their own learning through written learning reviews and 1:1 chats with their form tutors.
‘Here, what counts are ideas. And in the heat of adolescence, students can develop what they think and believe is important, often giving them confidence that will last a lifetime.’ Read @clsghead ‘s article in today’s @telegraph via the link in our bio.
