Mila spoke about the extent to which humans are able to control nature. She was praised by the judges for her excellent content and delivery. Shreya, also year 12, was also commended for her speech, which pondered the relative merits of tea and coffee!

Year 7 humanities challenge: how has migration shaped our world?
Congratulations to all year 7 students so engaged so enthusiastically in this term's joint humanities challenge. Charged with the question 'How has migration shaped our world?', each form took on the role of different departments of the International Organisation for Migration and they explored the issue of migration from different viewpoints.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
