The application process is a demanding one, involving a written submission, an aptitude test and an interview. Named the Bridge Wardens Scholar, Noor has been awarded £600, has been teamed up with a mentor to help her with her engineering application and will be given the opportunity to go on experience days with firms such as Rolls Royce.

Year 7 humanities challenge: how has migration shaped our world?
Congratulations to all year 7 students so engaged so enthusiastically in this term's joint humanities challenge. Charged with the question 'How has migration shaped our world?', each form took on the role of different departments of the International Organisation for Migration and they explored the issue of migration from different viewpoints.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
