STEM Week 2026

Students holding a snake during science and maths week

STEM Week 2026 was a celebration of curiosity, discovery and hands-on learning across the school. Students launched catapults in the year 7 engineering challenge, travelled through the cosmos in our 10-metre planetarium, and explored chemistry through iodine clock reactions and a spectacular demonstration lecture from Andrew Szydlo. Maths challenges, debates on de-extinction, and creative experiments with light led by our physics ambassadors filled the week with investigation and problem-solving. Biology brought the excitement of DuckCam and a visit from reptiles and amphibians, while DT students explored CAD and 3D printing. Throughout the week, our STEM ambassadors led activities that inspired younger students to become pioneers of discovery themselves.
