Year 13 EPQ students achieved a 100% success rate at A* this past November. The EPQ is a level 3 qualification which results in the award of half an A level. Students took part in after school skills sessions and then worked independently with supervision towards producing a detailed research project and presentation. The nature of the EPQ enables them to develop critical thinking and useful workplace skills, as well as preparing them for university study. November projects included everything from drag, copyright and art, to the future of in house retail. EPQ student Stella who explored the representation of women in computer games said "This project gave me the chance to explore solutions as well as raise questions." Juliette added "By completing my EPQ, I realised that what I wanted to study at university was design engineering".
