Individual giving

If you would like to support the school with a single gift, please click on the link below to make an online donation. Giving a one-time gift to the school provides immediate support for the bursary programme and is greatly appreciated.

Regular gifts are one of the best ways to support the school and allow us to plan for the future. You might consider doing this through monthly, quarterly, biannual, or annual donations. By signing up to a Direct Debit or creating a standing order, you can provide immediate, transformational support for a bursary student at City. For example, a gift of £38 per month when combined with 19 other similar gifts, and 1:1 matched funding from the City of London, adds up to a full year of fee support for a student who would otherwise be unable to take up a place at City. It’s a transformational gift for the equivalent of buying three flat whites a week!

International giving

US taxpayers can donate through the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF). Gifts made through the Foundation are fully tax deductible. To donate via this method, please click on the link below. We would be grateful if you would inform us if you make a gift this way, so we are able to confirm your funds have been received by the school. Please contact development@clsg.org.uk if you would like more information.

Corporate giving

Charitable donations can be made through payroll giving. This means gifts are made directly from your salary before income tax is deducted. As a result, you will automatically receive tax relief on your top rate of tax, with City receiving the gross value. If you are interested in this method, please contact your company payroll department to make initial enquiries.

Legacies

There has long been a culture of giving at City of London School for Girls; indeed it has been central to its ethos from its inception. The school was founded by a generous bequest from William Ward in 1881 with the aim of transforming the lives of young women through an inspiring and empowering education.
