Year 9 art show

Yellow paper mache sculptures displayed at art show

In year 9, we have focused on responding to our immediate environments in a variety of different ways. Some classes explore the technique of process art, where the creation of the art is just as vital as the final product, as well as looking at the range of techniques artists such as Richard Serra and Eva Hesse used. In other lessons we learnt about assemblage and responded to the work of Olivia Bax. Recently, we have created sculptures using wire and ModRoc plaster to display the diverse characteristics of nature. We then used these sculptures to create observational sketches and prints.
