Our year 9 art exhibition took place, showcasing student artwork on natural elements. This was a wonderful chance for our work to be displayed for parents and peers to enjoy. Inspired by the work of Joan Lurie, we began our art pieces by making natural forms using charcoal sketching and drawing shadows before then making various paper and wire pieces. We spent the next couple of weeks working on our final pieces, using many different materials such as paper, mesh, wire, and more. As we continued with our artistic creations, we realised that these natural forms are interesting individually, but are more powerful shown in a group. We hope everyone who attended our exhibition enjoyed seeing our final pieces just as much as we enjoyed creating them!
