Throughout this week, year 7 were lucky enough to visit the Tower of London. We discovered how it had been used as a zoo, full of various animals gifted to the monarchy. We also learnt about the six crows that are kept in the tower to this day, as legend states that if the crows escape or leave the Tower the whole of England will collapse! A highlight was being able to see the Crown Jewels. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this trip; it enriched our learning about how power has been exercised since the rule of William the Conqueror.
