Year 10 trip to QMUL

year 10 trip to QMUL

Last week, year 10 went to the Mile End campus of Queen Mary University. We started the day off with a session led by one of the professors where we learnt about the university and their different teaching styles. We compared these teaching styles and university in general to school and then looked through all the degrees Queen Mary had to offer. After lunch, we attended a uni-style lecture, taught by a third year student. We learnt about sustainable energy sources and this gave us an opportunity to really see what learning at university is like. Finally we ended the day with a tour of the campus, which was like a little village, despite being in central London. We admired its canal, large gym, cafes, bars and restaurants. Overall this day helped me hugely as I gained a better understanding into what life on campus is like and had the opportunity to compare specific degrees which helped me in my upcoming A level decisions.
