World Book Day

CLSG students dressed up for world book day

With the theme of this year's World Book Day being 'Languages in Literature', students have been hard at work in the library, guessing famous literary phrases in different languages, participating in a treasure hunt with clues hidden in various library books, and organising lines of poems into the correct order. The celebrations continued on 7 March with students coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters. From citizens of the Capitol in The Hunger Games to Lewis Caroll's Mad Hatter, each and every costume quite literally had a story behind it! Our staff were also involved in a final literary game, wearing a badge with the name of a fictional character. The students then competed to match the fictional characters into pairs, before identifying the piece of literature they were from.
