Last week year 11 GCSE drama students performed their duologue and monologue examination pieces. From Oscar Wilde to April de Angelis, the students showcased their acting talents to a rapt and evidently impressed audience of parents, teachers and fellow students. "I can't believe the standard was so high. It was like watching a piece of professional theatre!", said one parent immediately afterwards. Thanks to Mrs Mapstone and Mr Lynch for their directorial and technical support. Next Tuesday 10th May we have our final examination with year 13 performing their devised piece of theatre, 'It's Man's World'. Sixth formers, do come along to the Black Box at either 4pm or 5pm (two shows) to enjoy a parody of how women have been treated by men over the last few hundred years.

Chris Whyld, director of drama.
