Over the course of four weeks, students from years 10, 11 and 12 attended a video design for theatre course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. This short, yet informative course deepened our knowledge of what theatre is capable of, giving us the opportunity to use our newly-acquired skills in our future drama-related projects at school. We really enjoyed learning about the ways in which technical theatre is used to enhance the vibrancy and realism of a performance.
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
