. This includes 12 students who are going to Cambridge, nine to Edinburgh, five to Durham, four to Oxford, and four to UCL.
The USA has also proved popular with our leavers, with students going to Harvard, Stanford, Barnard College and the University of Chicago. Students have also chosen to study a great variety of degree courses from mathematics and medicine to architecture, archaeology, and Asian studies. We wish all our alum the best of luck in their future endeavours!

Drama department relocates to the Barber Surgeons’ Hall
Whilst the Black Box Studio is being renovated the drama department has been extremely fortunate in being offered space at the Barber Surgeons’ Hall, just a three-minute walk from school.
Year 12 enters the sixth form
Over the past two weeks, the new group of year 12 students have been settling into Sixth Form life. This year, as part of social distancing measures, they even get to use the old staff room as their common room.
Fresh faces around the school
City is delighted to welcome the newest cohort of pupils to the school. Two new year 7s, Matilda and Isabella, gave up a few minutes of their lunch break to fill us in on how it's been, leaving their friends singing karaoke in the corner.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
