Shreya chose this cause, "because most of my neighbours are elderly and have been isolating for the past six months". Responding to the call for musical talent, Shreya's friends and neighbours gathered on Zoom for an eclectic programme, featuring everything from Mozart to Billie Eilish. The event was a great success, with the JustGiving page shooting past Shreya's goal to raise £660 at last check!

Global city: international magazine launch
The International Committee has been working hard on a magazine to celebrate internationalism at CLSG.

World class team? Not up for debate
CLSG debaters took the Dutch Schools Debating Competition – their first in the world schools format – by storm, with Anoushka, Sawda, and Niamh (all year 12), Inji (year 10), and Eliza (year 9) ending two long days debating as winners of the Novice Finals.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
