Before half term, year 7 visited the Globe Theatre.
As we are currently studying The Tempest, we really enjoyed being able to properly envisage the very first enactments of the play. We also learnt lots of interesting facts about performance during Shakespeare's lifetime. An example was as the theatre had a hole in the roof, actors would have to improvise and respond to events which occurred outside the theatre walls!

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
