"City alumnae told us about their experience of A levels, leaving City, and going to University, overcoming obstacles along the way like lower-than-expected grades or not getting into their preferred university (some of City girls’ worst fears)" explained year 11 student Safiyyah. "It was eye-opening and showed us that things don’t always go to plan, and that’s okay!"
"They reminded us that not only is it futile to strive for perfection but that it is simply not necessary" agreed another student, Alexandra, noting "it was reassuring to see that these girls who have successfully got into great universities to study degrees they really enjoy in fact could barely remember what GCSEs they had chosen!"
