The Giant Dolls House

The Giant Dolls House art installation

We are so impressed with the art installations our students have created as part of a collaborative art project entitled The Giant Dolls House. Led by artist and architect Catja de Haas, this project aims to raise awareness of the importance of home, safety and community for all. Our students have used various pieces of fabric - as well as recycled or ‘found’ materials - to design and decorate a shoebox, responding to the theme of 'Tales of the City of London.' The completed shoeboxes will be gathered and linked with ramps, ropes and ladders to form a larger Giant Dolls house community, before being displayed at the Guildhall Gallery as part of the London Festival of Architecture. We very much look forward to seeing the outcome of this project!
