The Foundling Museum trip

Foundling museum

This week, our year 7s visited the Foundling Museum, immersing themselves in the context of Coram Boy, a book they study in their English lessons. The students had the chance to explore the absorbing exhibits, debating what their favourite token on display was and why. They were also shown around the gallery, where they saw the portrait of Thomas Coram, founder of the Foundling Hospital, and learnt about his background through the significant objects on display. They also had the chance to dress in replicas of the uniforms the foundlings were required to wear every day, including weekends!
