A Level theatre studies and classical civilisation students will surely remember 5 November. Not for gunpowder, treason, or plot, but because they were visited by Professor James Robson, who specialises in old comedy at the Open University!
As year 12 theatre studies student Lucy explains, "He spoke to us about the play Lysistrata written by Ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes and particularly focused on the roles of women within the play. We all found the talk really compelling, specifically the differing interpretations of the play by theatre makers and scholars."
