Our year 10 Latin GCSE students headed down into the London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE. Hidden beneath a modern financial building, they discovered the atmospheric remains of the Roman Temple of Mithras, complete with an impressive light-and-sound reveal worthy of the gods themselves. After learning about Roman religion and the mysterious rites of Mithras, our students left reminded that some of London’s most fascinating history is, quite literally, right beneath our feet.
