Last week, a group of year 12 students visited Citigen at Smithfield, to learn more about sustainability within the Square Mile. We were lucky to have an extensive tour, including seeing the control room, as well as the boreholes, where the natural heat of the London Aquifer is used to generate heat. It was wonderful to gain more insight into how exactly Citigen works so that it can be applied to the St Giles Heating Project we are looking into.
