A belated congratulations to Elizabeth (Y8), Sara (Y10) and Reya (Y11) who took part in a Chess competition in October. This was the first chess competition we have entered as a school so well done to the students for qualifying 10/36! For anyone interested in taking up chess and/or taking the CLSG team further up the leader board, chess club runs on Wednesdays at lunchtime and is led by an external coach.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
