On Friday 24 June, we were able to hold the school's annual sponsored walk to raise money for Street Child. For the first time since the pandemic, we could finally resume the usual walk and it was so exciting to see people’s enthusiasm for such a great cause! The walk stretched from Hampton Court all the way to Kew cricket green, and despite the long and, for some, painful journey, it was amazing to see the determination shown by the school community. So far, we have raised just over £9000 and are almost halfway towards our target. So please continue to donate either online on our Just Giving page here!
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
