Well done to all students who took part in the Southampton Maths Challenge, and congratulations to our junior prize-winners, Aashritha for winning third prize, as well as Sona and Yihua who received a distinction. Well done also to seniors Lara, (year 9) who received first prize, and Frida (year 10) who received a distinction. You can read more below

We are so glad we took part in the Southampton Maths Challenge, as well as being invited to the prizegiving ceremony, where we had the opportunity to look at contestants’ answers to questions, whilst also trying to solve fun maths puzzles. We had the chance to hear a very interesting talk by Professor James Anderson about his favourite unsolved maths questions, such as the Collatz conjecture.
