On Wednesday, A level Chinese students attended the Royal Society for Asian Affairs & SOAS annual presentation on Asia. We listened to a wide variety of talks, with topics ranging from the South China Seas to the history of Kazakhstan. We also heard talks about the effects of climate change on the vulnerable in India and the future of Asian capitalism. There were several fascinating personal accounts about working in Asia, and we were also offered taster sessions in learning other Asian languages, such as Arabic and Vietnamese. Overall, it was a fantastic and enjoyable day, filled with culturally enriching activities.
