Slovakia trip

Year 11 students in Slovakia

A group of six year 11 students visited Slovakia’s High Tatras mountains - as well as a waterpark! We had the chance to experience another culture, from trying delicious food to meeting friendly people and being shown around stunning nature. Our guide also showed us plenty of picturesque mountains, lakes, flora, and fauna, to the point where we started understanding the Romantic poets’ idea of the sublime. We visited both the cities of Poprad and Košice, and learnt about their history and respective significance. This trip was truly unforgettable, as we even spotted deer and chamois against cliff faces, saw lakes that are greener than the Barbican Moat, had snowball fights, and played snow cricket.
