Sixth form trip to Santiago de Compostela

students on trip to Santiago de Compostela

Over half term, a group of twelve sixth formers embarked on a trip to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. We spent 6 days in Santiago, the capital of Galicia, for a week packed with fun learning opportunities! We did language and grammar lessons at the San Fernando Institute in the mornings- although going to school on a trip sounds tiresome, the teachers were very welcoming and the lessons were cheerful. We then spent our afternoons learning about Spanish culture and the history of Santiago. We would then end the day having conversations in Spanish with our host families (trust me - it’s not as daunting as it may seem) and experience Spanish family life. I’m sure I can speak on behalf of everyone in saying that the trip was incredible and I would recommend it to anyone considering Spanish A-level!
