Science and maths week

Science and maths week explosions showcase

Science and maths week took students on an exhilarating journey of exploration, from Antarctic wildlife to the far reaches of space. The week launched with an inspiring STEM assembly, sharing the story of a pioneering female scientist whose success caused chaos in 13th-century France. Students also met real-life penguins, witnessed an explosive rocket show, and travelled the cosmos in a pop-up planetarium. Hands-on challenges included a high-stakes catapult-building competition, a giant periodic table project, and Pi-themed activities like chain-building and the annual recital. Biology came alive with giant loop games, while an art-science sculpture event saw students crafting metal models of the universe, soon to hang in the school corridors.
