On Monday 8 June all our year 12 chemistry students took part in the RSC Schools’ Analyst Competition. Using a combination of gravimetric analysis, titration and thin-layer chromatography, they collected evidence to identify unknown substances and solve a real-world problem. Competing against teams from across London and the South East, they spent an intense day gathering and analysing data and are now eagerly awaiting the results.
