River Sing Me Home - Eleanor Shearer

We are delighted to hear that Eleanor Shearer, CLSG alumna and researcher at the Institute for Government, has recently secured a book deal with Headline (UK) and Penquin Random House (US) for her upcoming debut novel: River Sing Me Home. Set in the Caribbean during the aftermath of slavery, the book explores the story of a mother's desperate search to find her stolen children. As the granddaughter of Windrush immigrants, Eleanor has always had a keen interest in Caribbean history, leading her to study the legacy of slavery in her Masters degree in Politics at Oxford University. Eleanor has channelled her studies into what has been described as a "gripping, powerful, joyful and redemptive" novel, set for launch in spring 2023 simultaneously in the UK and North America. Congratulations Eleanor!
