Prize Day

The school community enjoyed the stunning surroundings of Guildhall last Friday as we celebrated the particular achievements of our students at our annual prize giving ceremony. It was wonderful to welcome back recent leavers too and hear about their first impressions of university. Mrs Brown gave a wide-ranging and moving review of the year and Sophia, our Head Girl, delivered a brilliant speech on the power of being kind to oneself. Sir Andrew Parmley, the representative Lord Mayor and former chair of governors at the school presented the prizes. Throughout our wonderful musicians stunned us with renditions of pieces from Elgar's Enigma Variations, Handel's  'March' from Scipio and Mozart's 'Andante' from Divertimento in F major. Congratulations to all our prize winners again.
