Primary summer school

We were so pleased to hold our annual Primary Summer School this August. Attended by pupils from Aldgate, Galleywall and City of London Primary Academy Islington, every student enthusiastically took part in various enriching and developmental activities across three days. Literacy and numeracy sessions consolidated and extended pupils’ learning. A session in biology enabled pupils to handle and investigate animal skulls, and the Guildhall Art Gallery also hosted an enriching cultural day. A visit to the art gallery also allowed pupils to engage critically with the artwork on display, supported by a professional artist. The students then created spectacular collaborative artwork redesigning the London landscape. This event enabled great collaboration between the pupils who worked in mixed school groups, allowing them to enrich their learning.
