Our Pride Society hosted a powerful and vibrant assembly for LGBTQ+ History Month, taking us on a whistle‑stop tour from the 1957 Wolfenden Report to the first Pride parade, the AIDS crisis, Section 28, and the legalisation of same‑sex marriage. Students explored how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, whilst also reflecting on how far we still have to go. The assembly closed with a call to action on allyship, reminding us that inclusion isn’t passive, it’s practised.
