Pride celebrations

During our first week back after half term our Pride flag was raised outside our school reception in celebration of Pride Month. This same week, our Big Queer Picnic took place - an important, inspiring and special event. With deck chairs, pride flags, multicoloured cookies, rainbow cakes, a live band, as well as poetry readings - including a recently published piece by Mr McLaughlin - this picnic brought a palpable energy of joy and pride throughout the school. Numerous students and staff waved their hands and sang along to tunes performed by our music department! It was truly joyous to celebrate ten years of Pride Society at City, so thank you to everyone involved for providing a safe and inclusive space to celebrate who we are!
