We held City’s inaugural Poetry Festival. Hundreds of poems from right across the school, all of which you can read here, were whittled down to a shortlist of just ten per year group who performed their pieces on the evening. Our judge, esteemed0 poet Julia Copus, shared some thought-provoking words of wisdom about the importance of expressing our own unique perspectives through poetry in an age in which AI can now generate highly polished writing. Julia spoke extremely highly of the quality of the entries and how difficult her task was in choosing the winners.
