Poet in residence

Last week, poet, writer and artist Victoria Adukwei Bulley took up residency at the City schools. Throughout the week, she ran multiple masterclasses and performed readings of her work at both CLSG and CLS. Victoria took the time to answer numerous questions about her writing process, the music she listens to whilst writing and why she chose to write poetry as opposed to prose. In the poetry writing masterclasses Victoria ran with year 11, students were introduced to her methodology, whilst also focusing on the connection between poetic voice and themes. This was an exceptionally enriching experience, no doubt aiding the students in their future poetic studies.
