‘Ladies in Read’: Reading Mentors

Reading together
Each week, the mentors and mentees connect over Google Meet to read together and discuss Michael Murpurgo's The Butterfly Lion.

Dr Know: alumnae medic mentors
For the past few months, we have been running a Medic Mentor programme between year 11 and 12 students and CLSG alumnae who are currently studying medicine at university. Our students have been in contact over email, receiving lots of helpful advice and tips on applications, university life and more.

London Careers Festival
The London Careers Festival will be virtually hosted by the City of London Corporation between the 28 June – 2 July 2021.

Music to our ears: year 10 Young Leaders
This week, year 10 had the second in their series of Young Leaders workshops. The aim of these sessions is to learn how to lead music workshops for primary school children.

Joint junior school with CLS opening Sept 2022
We are delighted to announce that, together with City of London School, we will be opening a junior school for girls and boys aged between 7 and 11 in September 2022.

Race equality review published
Last autumn, together with City of London School, we commissioned an independent reviewer to scrutinise every aspect of school life through the lens of race equality.

Inside the industry: music scholars talk
On Thursday, for the first time the CLSG and CLS scholars came together virtually for a meeting with Ann McKay, who is the Chief Producer of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Last weekend, 75 year 10 students completed the silver practice expedition for their @DofE. They walked along part of the South Downs improving their navigational skills and the instructors were impressed by the keen focus, determination and sense of fun shown by all!
