Prize Day 2021
After two long years, it was an absolute pleasure to be back in the beautiful Guildhall for prize giving last Friday. We particularly enjoyed welcoming back many of last year's year 13 to give them something of the fitting send off which had been denied them in the summer. Many had just started university or were poised to do so, and it was lovely to hear their tales.
Year 9 visit the Black Country
The History and Geography department's joint visit to Carding Mill Valley and the Black County Museum in late September marked year 9's first-ever residential school trip!
Alumnae shortlisted for 2021 BBC Young Writers’ Award
Now in its seventh year, The BBC Young Writers’ Award with Cambridge University 2021 is open to all writers between the ages of 14 –18 years and was created to discover and inspire the next generation of writers. Of the five stories shortlisted, two are from City alumnae Isabella Yeo Frank (2021) and Tabitha Rubens (2020).

Credit Suisse Inspire Challenge
At the start of the summer a group of six sixth formers were joint winners of the Credit Suisse Inspire Challenge.
The joint CLSG-CLS sixth form enrichment programme, City+, had its official launch at CLS this week.
City of London School for the World!
This summer, CLSG's reapplication for the British Council's International Award was accepted.
