Our response to the Ukrainian crisis

Ukrainian flag

As with so many communities across the world, CLSG has come together to support Ukrainian people caught in the middle of a terrible war with a number of fundraising initiatives. Central to this is our sponsored initiative to walk/ride or cycle 2860 miles - the distance from London to Kyiv and back again - in aid of the Ukraine crisis appeal. You can contribute here.

Education for Ukrainian refugee children
At CLSG we are happy to offer Ukrainian refugee children, who are related to, or sponsored by our school community, a temporary place at the school if it is deemed by all concerned to be in the child’s best interests. This will be while the child’s longer-term educational needs are assessed. The place would be on a temporary basis and we would not expect it to be more than a term in the first instance. Given the constraints of our space, we are unable to help others who are not related or in the households of parents in our current community.

Our priority in every case will be to act in the best interests of the child and liaise very closely with their parent(s), sponsors and local authorities to ensure that every pupil has the best opportunities to recover and thrive.
