25 students in four teams ventured into the Brecon Beacons to complete a three-day, two-night Gold practice expedition. The students were tested with micro navigation on featureless heath, walking on bearings and using transits to accurately pinpoint their location.
To save weight the team are given the option to discard non-essentials before setting off. One team handed over 50 pepperami sausages and a kilo of peanut butter. Many thanks to Mr Tibbetts for his support and stellar organisation.
