Nishka Codes4Good

CLSG student teaching coding workshop

Over the past two years she has designed and delivered coding workshops to disadvantaged children in rural schools in Tamil Nadu, southern India. She is particularly passionate about teaching technology skills to young girls, as this can give them 'financial empowerment, social autonomy and better lives' in the future.

As part of the award, Nishka has been fundraising to provide Raspberry Pi-powered computing units for ten rural villages, to enable the children to learn to code. Each unit costs £125. She has already raised £3150, which will fund the setting up of code clubs. Learn more and consider supporting Nishka's cause.
