Natural environment board dinner and dance

CLSG students performing dance at the Guildhall

The City of London Corporation's newly created Natural Environment Board had its inaugural dinner at the Guildhall. This Board has oversight of all the Corporation's outdoor spaces which includes Epping Forest and Hampstead Heath. To highlight the importance of the outdoors in sustainability education, the Corporation invited three of the family of schools to showcase their projects to the guests during the pre-dinner drinks. Two of our year 13 students on the climate change course represented our school, talking to a wide variety of guests about the various climate change and sustainability education strands that we have recently launched in the school. Guests also had the opportunity to test their carbon literacy and read our Green Shoots Magazine. Both students were invited to the formal dinner, which they very much enjoyed! The highlight of the dinner was, no doubt, a splendid environmentally themed dance show which was organised by City's PE department.

For the Natural Environment Board inaugural dinner, we created a dance in response to the theme of climate change. The performance also consisted of a wonderful violin solo, leading into a mix of lovely solo and duet dances, all of which were performed beautifully. After all our rehearsing, this was a truly amazing experience that we all enjoyed.
