A huge congratulations to our German students on their outstanding success across a range of recent competitions. Farheen (year 7) was commended in the Anthea Bell Translation Prize, selected from over 5,400 entries, a remarkable achievement that demonstrates exceptional skill in translation. We are also delighted to celebrate our students’ impressive performance in this year’s Oxford German Olympiad, where pupils nationwide respond creatively in German to the theme ‘Spiel und Sport’. Eliza (year 8) achieved highly commended, while Ellen and Sadie (year 9) were both commended. Dora, Elina and Matilda also gained Commended awards. We were especially pleased to see Runner-up awards for Matilda (year 12) and Flora (year 10).
