Music workshop

Year 9 CLSG students at music workshop

Our year 9 class attended an experimental music workshop using rubbish. It was an extraordinary experience, and was amazing to witness how everyday items could transform into musical instruments! We began by watching the facilitators perform a quick piece while they provided insight into the process of making experimental music. Then we were encouraged to create rhythms using a variety of unconventional instruments such as plastic, card, tins, and even bottles! It was a fantastic, hands-on experience that engaged the whole class. By the end we had made a symphony of unique sounds from the crinkles of plastic to the crunching of tins. It inspired us to push the boundaries of music and showcased what incredible things can come from even the most basic items mixed with some creativity.
