Maths masterclass with City of London schools

The CLSG maths department was pleased to host year 9 pupils from several of our sister academies on Wednesday for a maths masterclass. Pupils from the City of London Academies in Islington, Shoreditch Park and Highgate Hill, as well as CLSG students, were given a taster of further mathematics by learning how to use complex numbers and matrices to transform 2D shapes. Speaking about the day Jamelia said, ‘It’s been really useful to learn about further maths. I’m personally considering taking maths for A level so it’s helpful to see the sorts of topics that might come up in the future.’
