Lunchtime thought experiments

CLSG students celebrating World Philosophy Day

The fun was getting out of Kant-rol as the RPE department’s World Philosophy Day celebrations continued at a lunch-time celebration on Thursday 16 November! Our fabulous sixth form volunteers created interactive presentations of a number of thought experiments, including the trolley problem, the experience machine, and the ship of Theseus; a mind-boggling way to delve into some thought-provoking questions. Everyone also enjoyed the chance for a selfie with philosophers including Plato and Aristotle (thanks to RPE teachers donning beards and tunics!) as well as characters from the Good Place. Thank you to the RPE department for their super-Hume-an efforts in organising everything, and I’m sure that everyone is already Locke-ing forward to next year!
